1: Aims
Forgotten Forces Living History Association (henceforth referred to as ‘the group’, ‘the club’, or other such terms) is founded with the aim of broadening the historical knowledge of both members and the wider public.
Social: To educate the wider public with regard to military history through the group’s website and attendance at events.
Internal: To provide a means for people to meet others with similar interests in order to establish friendly relationships and to broaden the knowledge of all involved.
Political: The group has no political aim, and represents no political ideology whatsoever. While representing the group, members may not express their political opinions.
Financial: Likewise, the group has no financial aim. It is not established to make a profit, and no such attempts will be made.
Historical: To promote the preservation of items of historical significance and to re-create historical events and circumstances.
2: Membership
The group has a system of tiered membership:
Senior Members: These members are composed of all founding members of the group, along with any new senior members appointed unanimously by existing senior members .They are responsible for the administration of the group.
Full Members: These are members who have been issued a membership card. Membership cards are issued at the discretion of Senior Members.
Associates: These are non-members who have a presence in the group’s online community due to their interest in historical re-enactment or history in general, but are unable to contribute towards group activities.
3: Leadership
The group is run by the Management Committee ('the Committee'), which consists of all Senior Members.
One senior member serves as the Chairman, exercising executive control over the group, in accordance with the wishes of the Full Membership and with the support of the Committee.
The Committee is responsible for moderating and policing the group's online communities (Facebook, Discord, etc.). The intention is not to restrict what members can say, but to ensure a polite and respectful sphere for discussion.
The Committee may also appoint any Full Member to the role of 'moderator', to assist in this task.
Articles of the Group Constitution may be changed, or new articles created, by unanimous vote of senior members.
