Hack Green April 2023

The 2023 event season has truly kicked off with a show that is always a group favourite - the Living History Weekend at Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker! With displays covering British Civil Defence, Yugoslavia, Finland, the People's Republic of China, Romania, Switzerland and British Hong Kong, we covered a lot of ground with a diverse array of uniforms, weapons and equipment. As is usually the case at Hack Green, public engagement was good, and it was a chance to catch up with friends in the hobby and other groups, and the team from the highly recommended Cold War Conversations History Podcast. The weather held up well, and after a cold winter it was nice to get back to talking about the Cold War!

Thanks to Lucy and all the staff at the bunker for another year of good times at Hack Green - we had some newcomers as well as those who'd been many times before and we all agree that once you go to HG you get sucked into the community and keep on coming!

Our next show will be Overlord Show in Hampshire at the end of next month, where we are planning our biggest Swiss Army display yet, and our WW1 Sister Group will also be in attendance. One not to miss!
