Our first proper event since the Coronavirus pandemic took place on Sunday, 6th of June 2021, and was a great day out! Four of us attended (two in 1940s-era Swiss uniforms, one as an Albanian partisan and one as a British Local Defence Volunteer), and set up a small display in the re-enactors' field, consisting of weaponry, documents, information boards, and other artefacts. While the time period was a bit of a stretch for us, we put together a decent showing for ourselves and received high praise from the organisers!
To round the day off, a small skirmish was organised in the forest at the back of the site, pitting members of other groups in WW2-era British uniforms against the Swiss and various partisans (as no German groups had attended the event). While more than slightly historically-inaccurate, it was good fun and we put on a good show!
