Military Odyssey 2022

The 2022 event season is slowly drawing to an end, but not before the biggest reenactment show in the world had taken place over the bank holiday weekend! London Living History Group showcased the Yugoslav Partisans of the Second World War, along with Central Europe in the Cold War (Austria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, and Yugoslavia).

On the whole, this was a pretty good show: public engagement was good, we saw lots of old friends and made some new ones, and our location in the forest allowed us to avoid the extremes of both heat and rain, which have plagued the rest of this season. Our thanks go out to the organisers at Military Odyssey for putting on such a fantastic and sprawling event.

We’re not done yet, either, and will be going to Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker for the Cold War event there for 10-11 September. This is likely to be our final show for 2022, sadly. See you there!
